Let's embark to save our souls Gotta reconnect 'em like two halves of a whole Who do you run to when you lose control You're in for a grand surprise What awaits you where our destination lies Feels like soon I'll have to improvise Questioning, what's my secret? Severing my spirit I'm gonna save it for Chicago Save it up for you Save it up so I can pay my dues A little bit more bravado A little more confidence I'm prepared to suffer the consequence Peeled forth from our valley homes Saddled up to start anew, then we did roam Looking from something to call our own Given chase, I won't fail you Keep the faith, 'cause I've stayed true Sail away away, to strange, distant heights Passion reawake, let's align our sights Sail away away, let's just run til we See a better day, one where we agree I had promise some kind of endowment in the end Even though inside, I know we're better off as friends Something's wrong, so now I need a miracle, godsend Disappointment waits just 'round the bend

I'd been caught so damn off guard I took the blows and took em hard Sure to know that this will leave a scar I'm so glad we're not alone 'Cause those who sin can still cast stones Sure to know that you'll be overthrown It's so nice to know that you would have my back til death And now I've seen you at your best I don't know what it's like to kill a man But I'd surely like to see When I open fire on your town When I come around, the shit's going down Your demise had taken aim And from behind your maker came Now you lie in pieces, torn and slain Let's just stay the course but make it sweet and take up arms You can bet we mean to bring 'em hard You'd been caught so damn off guard How could you think that you'd get far Now it seems you're seeing less than stars Though, you've made a bomb out of where once was only sparks You've shown a light where it was dark

A great man once said, "Take the money and run" And who were those lovers with whom we had fun? You're naturally crafted to take up the gun And I'll drive with you into oblivion It's so much more than just looting for thrills But you held me up like I was filled with bills Spare no expense, we only shoot to kill Surely at this point, you would know the drill Guess you could just say we're partners in crime We found ourselves back in parallel lines Moving your way, we leave disaster behind And you're dead in our sights But soon, we both know that the law will catch on A great man said that he fought, but they won Let's cut out ties, go out big, and get gone The way that it seems, we'll be dead by the dawn

Blessed is the one who tithes And pays such a holy price The proof lies in the payout You're mine, some kind of devout Gather 'round, my sons and daughters Someone's spoiled the holy water Hail the dollar and praise the father It's all too much so why even bother bothering? There was a time that I had asked for Love from on high, the saving kind Life can sometimes move like hell Let me say I'm here to help Good things come but at a cost I'll redeem what you had lost And in my prime, I soon would transform But where was I, I had been blind It's blasphemous, but you're so gainful Now we're famous, still you're no angel

I think the id had overcome the ego Or maybe something inside finally let go Breathe, my love, I swear that I Won't miss a single not This will all be over nigh I promise, quote unquote Goodbye, goodbye, I sputtered forth My future's bleak and so is yours A victim of their fatal force I do regret, of course, of course I thought that this would end with clasped hands raisin' But you came in too soon and guns a-blazin' Sing, my love, and know that I Won't change a single tune You just rest and close your eyes And I'll be with you soon I'll take fault and clear your name And wish you could be saved Better than to place the blame On your innocent grave
7.
I'll serve my sentence long and hard I will embrace the prison yard I'll greet the day while under guard Until I made acquaintance You killed your darling in cold blood A crime of passion caked in mud I won't forgive this period For you I have no patience How can you go on just knowing that you Got away with an innocent life Who holds the power and where do you stand Holding you by the edge of a knife I get the feeling of bearing your arms You can try but you'll fail to amend All the king's horses and all the king's men Can't save you from a lover's revenge We differ fundamentally I don't forgive your kinds of deeds So for the ones you did mistreat The times are getting rougher I was a lover, pure and true She show to kill, I aimed to lose No mercy for the likes of you I vow to make you suffer I thought about this long and hard And I'll wait til you lose your guard I'd love to make you see some stars Until you fucking drop dead

about

Companion EP to "Bonnie and Clyde" from Information Highway 61.

Two lovers embark from Denver to Niagara Falls to reignite their relationship. Upon stopping a robbery, they begin staging hold-ups in order to trick people into allowing them to make off with the money. When the cops catch up with them, they perform their magnum opus by murdering a televangelist, and, true to Bonnie and Clyde form, they are gunned down in the end, but only one survives.
